And struggled as if possessed by demons while I was trying and succeeding to put on her diaper because, well, pee pee on the floor isn't what we wanted. And diaper wasn't what she wanted.

Your and Tom's version of "terrible two's" (with Saskia they came at age 15 months; my Derek's 23 now, never had the terribles because he expresses himself differently) are more complicated and guilt-tinged, tho guilt is such a worthless emotion. Growing up is usually not easy, and raising a child or two makes birthing seem like a party. Tom is so lucky to have you and Nik as parents.

Love the sweet photo of Nik and Tom on New Years.

Tanja (btwood2 on IGO)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28973073.post-31535881288540132222007-01-15T22:52:00.000+00:002007-01-15T22:52:00.000+00:00Jason - he's just being two. Tantrums aren't about reason; it's just about being frustrated between what he wants and what's happening, and often infants don't even know what they want, but it's something different.

Really: don't beat yourself up about it. This isn't your fault or his or even the childminder's. Chocolate is not the food of the devil (ours just gets calmer).Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01889058585755189801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28973073.post-27446788034846443082007-01-12T10:20:00.000+00:002007-01-12T10:20:00.000+00:00What an evening, what a revalation, what pain, he ...What an evening, what a revalation, what pain, he is your son our grandson beautiful, clever, charming and will grow up to be a special young man that we are and continue to be proud of.
